1010 CA drops at launch
Hand drawn wojak holding a lit red candle in a graveyard at night. Behind him a headstone is carved with the date 10.10.2025, with red candles, wilted flowers, coins and a cracked phone showing a red chart on the grass.

We remember 10/10.

Some of us were here before it. Some came after.

About $19 billion in leveraged positions was liquidated in 24 hours, the biggest liquidation day crypto has ever seen. More than 1.6 million accounts were wiped. 1010 is the coin for remembering it.

Before and after

There are two kinds of people in crypto now. Those who were here before 10/10, and those who came after. You can usually tell which one you are talking to.

Here before

  • You watched it happen live, on a Friday night, one candle at a time.
  • You know what a liquidation email looks like without opening it.
  • You size smaller now and you do not explain why.

Came after

  • You heard about it from someone who still flinches at red candles.
  • You have seen that wick on the chart and wondered how bad it really was.
  • It was worse than the chart shows. That is why this page exists.
Which one are you?

Nobody checks. You know which one you are, and your answer goes on your candle further down.

The day everything got liquidated

  1. Early October 2025

Bitcoin sets an all time high near $126,000. Leverage is everywhere and everyone is a genius.

  2. A surprise tariff announcement on Chinese imports hits the market. The first big longs reach their liquidation prices.

  3. 20:50 UTC

The cascade starts. Every forced sale pushes the price into the next liquidation.

  4. 21:15 UTC

The worst minute. About $3.21 billion in positions is liquidated in sixty seconds.

  5. The next 24 hours

About $19 billion is force closed, roughly nine times the previous single day record. More than 1.6 million accounts are liquidated. Order book depth drops 98% and USDe trades at $0.65 on Binance.

  6. By year end

The memecoin sector shrinks from about $80 billion to about $47 billion. October closes red for the first time in seven years.

  7. One year later. If you were here, you survived it. If you came after, now you know what the rest of us mean.

Would you have survived?

If you came after, this is the closest you will get to being there. Say you went long Bitcoin at the high of the day. Pick your leverage and replay 10/10.

LIQUIDATED

At 10x, a 10.0% drop ends the trade. Bitcoin fell 14.1% that day. You would have been one of more than 1.6 million liquidated accounts. No shame in that.

Simplified on purpose. Only the high ($122,000) and the low ($104,783) are real. The path between them is drawn for the replay. Real exchanges liquidate earlier than this because of maintenance margin and fees, and many altcoins fell much further than Bitcoin.

What it is

A coin for remembering October 10, 2025. Holding it says you know what happened that day.

Who it is for

Both sides. The people who were here carry the day. The people who came after carry the story.

What it is not

A plan to get rich. There is no roadmap and no promise of any return. It is a memecoin about a bad day.
